FAIRVIEW RIVERSIDE STATE PARK - MADISONVILLE, LA

I left home this morning and went to my friendly neighborhood full service station to have my tires checked and inflated.  So now I have the proper inflation.  However, after driving away I remembered that I wanted to have my air bags inflated to 55psi.  So I'll go back next week when I get back home and have that done.

I experienced NO SWAY on the trip here.  I was especially concerned about crossing over the lake on the 25 mile long Causeway with gusts of wind but nothing happened.  No Sway!!! Yeah!!!

I arrived at Fairview Riverside State Park around 2:00 this afternoon and got set up.  This park is only about an hour and a half from my house across the lake north of New Orleans.  I'm meeting my full-timer friend Chris who is passing through to go to Florida and I wanted to get together and have a visit with her.  We walked our dogs and chatted and tomorrow we are going to go out to lunch and a museum.  I'm only staying two days so it's a short trip but feels good to be in the camper and not having to go very far from home.  I feel very relaxed and am enjoying the cozy feel of the van.  I have the fireplace on and am watching a movie and my little doggies are asleep next to me.  I'm very happy.

The dogs enjoyed their walk and Cha Bu ran around the grounds trying to smell all the doggie and critter smells she could.  I put their sweaters on as it was pretty cold but nice.  The sun was shinning which we haven't seen in some time with all the rain we've been getting.  Tomorrow will also be sunny then the rain returns.

The boardwalk on the Tchefuncte River.

That's me in the  middle.
