CARPORT FOR THE CAJUN PLEASURE

I've waited a long time for this carport.  If I had this carport for the Freedom Express it would not have suffered so in the constant sun and heat here in South Louisiana.  It might not have depreciated so much.  I might even have kept it and not traded it in but that's a done deal and time to move on.

I didn't think it would be so high.  The salesman explained to me that the legs would be 10 feet tall and the roof 12 feet.  My Pleasure Way is 9 feet tall so we figured that the 10 foot tall legs would be what I needed.  However, the installers informed me that the 8 foot legs would have given me a 10 foot roof which would have been alright for the Pleasure Way.  Oh well....

Putting the frame up, securing the legs to the cement driveway.

Putting the roof on.

Pretty blue roof.

Putting the finishing touches.

Man... is that tall!

The finished look.  I really like it.  I'll be able to wax the roof of the RV and have lots of head room to do so.

Nice and shady.  I can now stagger the vehicles, have more room for a sitting area, and enjoy all that shade.

The work crew was great.  They had it up in two hours.

Looking forward to the next rain fall to be able to enjoy hearing the drops falling on the metal roof.

Ahhh, the simple pleasures in life.
