BACK HOME

Arrived home yesterday.  The weather just isn't cooperating.  I washed the RV and attempted to put the cover on it but it is a two person job so had neighbors help out.  It now sits clean and shiny and won't be getting any streaks while sitting patiently in my driveway waiting to ride to our next adventure.

FOGGY DAY... ALL DAY... NOT FUN

Woke to zero visibility today and the sun never did cook it off.  We made the best of it and rode the bike around the park.  The doggies played on the beach as usual and I read a couple of magazines.

Not many campers here today.

This family was enjoying the beach.  It was a warm day but that water is ice cold.  I was wearing my coat and got a chill just watching them in the water.

ANOTHER RELAXING DAY AT THE BEACH

The weather was great... cool - not hot - and sunny.  We spent most of the day riding up and down the beach on the electric bike.  We'd stop and I'd let the dogs out of the cart for awhile then we'd ride some more.

 Later this afternoon I went alone and sat by the water's edge.  I read one of my magazines and soaked up some sun.  It was great.

I HAD THE WHOLE BEACH TO MYSELF

Left Pat's house around 2:00 this afternoon, stopped to get some shrimp, then went to the Grand Isle State Park.  My favorite spot was taken but I'm right next to it.  There are only a few campers in the park and the beach was deserted.  I rode my bike along the water's edge and it felt great to be back on the shore.  Later in the day, I took the doggies for a ride in their little red cart.  They played in the sand but did not try to get into the water.  It's still pretty cold.

My new set up.  I was able to put my electric bike, doggie cart, table and 2 beach chairs inside the RV.  It was crowded but glad I could do it.

Cooked the shrimp and potatoes for supper - outside using the electric skillet.  It worked just fine.  

Feeling really tired and going to watch a movie with my little doggies.  It was a fun day for us all.

ENJOYING MY PLEASURE WAY VAN

It's been 6 whole months since I've been to the beach at Grand Isle, LA.  I'll be staying in my friend Pat's yard a day or two then on to the State Park for a few days.  I've never spent more than two nights in my Class B and am looking forward to a week spent learning about the quirks of the van.

Got to the island around 2:00 this afternoon and got set up then went for a visit to my cousin Elain's house.  Came back to the RV and walked the dogs then went up the street and bought some fried chicken for supper.  My babies are sleeping next to me now and I'm watching a movie.

Tomorrow I'll be riding my electric bike to the beach.  Can't wait to hear and see the Gulf.  I never did get a trailer hitch put on the RV so had to pack the bike, doggie carrier, and folding table into the camper and unloaded them when I got set up.  So tonight they are outside.  I miss having a basement for storage.

The weather is great and no rain in the forecast for a week.  Temps in the 70s, finally.  I'll have photos to post tomorrow.
