LAKE END PARK - MORGAN CITY - LA.

Loaded up the dogs and packed some food in the RV and away we went this afternoon.  I had made reservations online and put it on my credit card.  The total was $40.00 for two nights - according to the website.

When I checked in at the office I was told the total would be $76.00 which included my Good Sam discount.  So instead of charging me $20 a night they charged me $40 a night.  The person informed me that the $20 a night rate does not start till April.  Of course I asked why the website did not reflect that information.  No explanation was given me.  I asked to cancel and they said it was too late to cancel.  I paid the balance and went to my site.   I can not afford to pay $40 a night and would not have made the reservation if that was what the website showed.  Lesson learned.  I won't be back.

OUR ENJOYABLE THREE DAYS AT THE BEACH

Our second day at the beach and we stayed out all day long.  Only went back to the RV for lunch then we were out again.

Enjoying the pavilion.

My friend Pat came over in the late afternoon and brought me some fresh trout.  The dogs love him and always give him lots of attention.  However, they were exhausted from their busy day outside and fell asleep next to him on the bed.
Xi Shi just couldn't go any more and out she went.

Got a little rain this morning so we stayed inside.  Had breakfast then a quick ride around the park.  Packed up then headed for home.

We all enjoyed our short visit to the beach.

EXERCISING AT THE BEACH

Felt good to ride my bike once again.  It's been 9 months since I've been to this beach and ridden my bike.  Feeling a bit sore tonight.  All this exercising is finally giving my muscles a work out.

The beach is showing signs of all the thunder storms we had lately.  Lots of debris and beach erosion.  Was a bit tricky trying to pull the doggie cart but I managed to ride for several hours today.

Never seen this washed up on the beach before.

And of course we spent lots of time on the fishing pier.  The dogs love it here because they can be off leash and run around and be safe.  Lots of wind and no mosquitos.

The weather was great with temps in the 60s and we enjoyed sitting outside.
